Born 1977, Fátima, Portugal

Lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal

Graduated in Plastic Arts - Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon in 2002. In 2003 completed a Masters in Teoria y Prática de las Artes Plásticas Contemporâneas in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His work mainly in painting and video-animation, tries to reflect on how the images that surround us are incorporated in those artistic media. This transformation process on objects of the present, occurs on an investigation of the history of painting, seeking to update the major themes and genres in the history of painting.

Of the solo exhibitions he does since 2003 the following stand out: O Diário de Robert Stern, Galeria 111, Lisbon (2011); Máquina de Campanha, (2005) Sopro Projeto de Arte Contemporânea; Ruína (2008), Galeria 111, Lisboa. He participates in several group exhibitions since 2000, most notably: Respublica, 1910 and 2010 face to face, at the Calouste Gulbenkian, Fidelidade Painting Prize, Culturgest, 2006, O Espelho de Ulisses (2005), Centro de Arte São João da Madeira; Paisagem e Limiar (2007), Centro Cultural de Sines.
